The Frieze Sculpture Park is always a treat: Not only does it offer the opportunity to enjoy - and often interact with - grand scale sculptural works created by established and emerging international artists, but you can do so in the wonderful, open setting of Regent's Park, at your own pace, devoid of the frenzy generated by the hoards of art lovers, and - best of all - have a smoke while at it!
Frieze Sculpture Park 2011 featured 12 works, selected by David Thorp.
My personal favorite was Kiki Smith's "Alice" but I enjoyed the concept of Alicia Framis "Cartas al Cielo" (failed to send a note to the skies though). Gavin Turk's "Ajar" made for an interesting visual prank and Will Ryman's "Icon" looked rather fabulous framed by the British Telecom Tower!
