Maurizio Cattelan is retiring from art making after his current retrospective Maurizio Cattelan: All. To mark the end of the exhibition (and the beginning of retirement) on Saturday, January 21, the Guggenheim is holding a multidisciplinary program called The Last Word, for which more than 30 prominent artists, philosophers, writers, comedians, filmmakers, actors, musicians, and more will come together to contemplate the subject of voluntary endings. The event tackles that most difficult moment: to decide when to stop one thing and begin another or to end it altogether.
