artAZ’s annual event for the support of the homeless of Athens returns with its 4th edition.
We are thrilled to announce that SURPRISE, artAZ’s annual art event for the support of the homeless of Athens, returns in 2012 with its 4th consecutive edition.
Since its inaugural event, in February 2009, “SURPRISE!” employs the dynamic of the Greek artistic community and places art at the service of society. Working closely together with 300 artists, who offer their especially created artworks to the event, we translate artistic creation to actual social benefit and offer the proceeds in order to support programs addressing the needs of the homeless of Athens.
SURPRISE 4! will take place between 15 – 18 November 2012. We will begin uploading artworks online at artAZ around mid-September 2012.
SURPRISE is organized by artAZ but it is the product of the effort of –literally- hundreds of people. Its success would not be possible without the valuable contribution of the various friends of the event, the artists, the volunteers, the sponsors, the media and of course the visitors.

At the same time, we could really use your help in order to promote the event– help us spread the message around, through covering our effort. It is never too early or too late to tune in!
SURPRISE is a demanding venture - our needs in workforce are augmented and the tasks are abundant: Networking with the artists, delivering canvases, picking up the finished works, setting up the space, undertaking shifts at the exhibition, working the door during sale day and many more special positions are awaiting - you can take your pick!
