Angelos Agiostratitis
I have been working in the computer graphics field for over a decade now. I initially started
working as a graphic artist. However, I was drawn by the multimedia industry, which gave me
the freedom of using several techniques and software, animation, as well as sound, and hen-
ce was able to create more integrated pieces. With the advent of the internet revolution, I soon gained my first global distinction - 2nd place worldwide web animation award - by Macromedia.
During these years, I have worked as a designer, multimedia developer, animator, web artist
and finally as an art director in several Greek multimedia companies.
A part of my occupational experiences involved me in managing multimedia projects for Greek Universities such as the University of Crete, the Aegean University and the University of Thes-
saly. A representative project of my work is ‘Seirines and Penelope.’ I also had the opportunity
to be a team member in a creative artists’ team, who organized and designed various multime-
dia projects on behalf of the European Union. Samples of these are the ‘Interpersonal Commu-
nication, Foreign Trade, Mind and Body, and Vr Learners.’
Designing the interface and graphics of the multimedia infokiosk of the Greek International
Airport ‘Eleutherios Venizelos’, as well as participating in creating the mascot for the Greek
Olympic Games 2004 have been challenging projects. In addition, I have designed the gra-
phics, interfaces, websites and advertisements for a number of well-known companies such as: Porsche, Graphisoft and a range of radio stations, tv channels and individual artists.
For the past seven years, I have been working as a digital illustrator particularly focused in di-
gital painting, and specialized in themes of fantasy art. Moreover, I have actively participated in internationally eminent art forums where I have received distinctions such as the cgtalk award
from cgtalk.com, daily deviations from DeviantArt.com, and gfxartist awards.
My themed selections were included in the famous book series ‘EXPOSE’ which comprises the
world’s most outstanding digital artworks.
Recently my artwork "Bard Angel" was selected and printed upon several collectible Gibson Les
Paul guitars.
