Heart Factory, aka artist duo Alexandra Kollaros and Dimitris Liossis, are agents of love, cute warriors with a mission to make life more beautiful for everyone, spreading happiness one little heart at a time. Convinced that the world needs more LOVE they have taken it upon themselves to single-handedly solve this problem by creating art that generates positive vibes and (allegedly) improves your love life. Heart Factory came to life in February 2020, with a secret location pop-up show in Athens. Independently the two artists are long established and active in various art disciplines.
Love is a Hard Currency
The work consists of 25 “Hearts” (small-scale resin heart-shaped sculptures) featuring gold leaf and old banknotes. An abstract comment on the evergreen subject of love + money, the artwork can be read any way the viewer pleases: money as a currency for love, the love for money, using love to get money and vice versa – whatever connection one can detect the artists believe is the right one. The hearts, simultaneously artworks and art objects, depending on how you want to enjoy them, are handmade and unique. The versatile works are standalone or can combine in infinite formations. In the same vein, the work can be bought as an installation or broken down in sets of hearts and ultimately as individual hearts.
