The Krank
Born in Greece in 1988. I studied visual communication in Athens while my artistic journey began way back in 2002 through graffiti and painting in the urban environment. Since 2013 I have been living and working in Berlin under the name “The Krank”, which in German means “Sick”.
Storm
In my art I opt for a profound visual language to narrate stories that reflect the impact of contemporary life in psychology and society. The roots of my work are based on Typography and 20th century painting. I use written speech to encrypt a series of interconnected messages aiming for a deeper interpretation. At the same time abstract expressionism defines the flow of my art, imprinting thoughts and feelings in an anarchic way. In this way, I create a parallel spacetime where the conscious and the unconscious coexist and battle.
“The storm is coming and it will be a fucking nightmare.”
