Argiris SER
Argiris SER’s art and life are intertwined and evolve in parallel trajectories. The artist is currently distancing himself from the trademark style (pop surrealism with refereces to comic culture) that established him, immersing himself in the study of colors and shapes instead. Despite the newness of this exploration he has managed to master an immediately recognizable signature in this arena of creative experimentation as well.
SER is a pioneer of the Urban & Street scene of Greece and is sought after on a global scale.
The Works
The specially created worksare characteristic examples of SER’s new body of work. Using the simplest of means – a standard colour palette and the minimal, almost Doric implementation of form – he achieves an impressive visual mosaic that bombards the viewer with an unexpectedly eclectic mix of images and suggestions: from a painter’s color wheel to the technicolor magic of a psychedelic trip, and all stations in between. The artist is employing color and form to create contradictions and illusions that stimulate the viewer and forge unique experiences, arising from his interpretation of the visual proposal.
