SURPRISE X, the 10th and final edition of our charity campaign for the support of the homeless of Greece culminated in great success, wrapping up a decade of efforts to improve the world through the power of art.
The event took place between 11-13 October 2019, at The Project Gallery, Athens, featuring 326 artworks from around the world.
Aside from the main exhibition of small format artworks, the event featured a silent auction of bigger works, a blind wall featuring wrapped “surprise” artworks and an augmented reality art showcase by Sergio Ko.
Parallel to its benefit nature, the campaign’s second layer was to act as a concise panorama of current contemporary art production and bring art closer to the broader audience.
We are enthused with the results of the campaign and elated that we employed the universal language of art to bring positive change, specifically to have had the opportunity to support our fellow humans though the effective programs of Klimaka NGO.
We are grateful to all the artists who joined us in this journey, as well as to all the people who supported the campaign – from volunteers to sponsors, to journalists and of course to all the buyers – and hope to meet again soon.
